Our name of Kowloon-North was officially made known. The Attendance improved. The lowest was in September 59.5% and the highest in March 81%. Our Club had the best and full attendance at the District Conference.
One of the first projects that President Sidney introduced was an unusual Vocational (or International) Service project whereby he arranged for a number of wives of Gurkha soldiers to be trained in machine knitting at the Technical College and the Club donated three knitting machines. For our long term project, the Society for the Blind received another substantial amount under our Community Service project.
In June 1970, we moved to Hong Kong Hotel for our regular luncheon meeting.
