1981 – 1982 Franklin Jen

Membership: 45

Once again, our Club won the Best Attendance Award for Nine continuous years! Of course, it was the efforts of all our members.
The project at Tuen Mun Tai Hing Estate was completed in this Rotary Year. IPP Peter Harilela declared the Shelter open by a ribbon cutting ceremony, with many VIPs and our members attending. President Franklin delivered the opening address.
As a continuation of the Tuen Mun Project, another contribution was made in helping the elderly and also to honour 1981 as the year for disabled persons, a donation was presented by Pres. Franklin to director/principal Mr. Keith Marshall of Elenezer School and Home for the Blind. For handicapped children, our club donated ten scholarships to Suen Mei Speech and Hearing Centre for the deaf. With more money raised, our Club had more projects in our Community Service.
Our Interact Club of Mansfield College was very active under the advisor, our Rtn. Michael Chan. During the year, President Franklin led Rtns. Joseph Lee and Robert Chan and Rtnne. Teresa Koo in becoming Paul Harris Fellows.
