Dear Fellow Rotarians,

This Friday we will be holding our club’s last meeting in the Year of the Dragon. Lets make it the best one.  Your board of directors met this week and we have mapped out an ambitious plan for service and fellowship in the coming months. Details will be available soon.

The first event on the club calendar will be the evening fellowship meeting on Friday, Feb. 16th. The plan is to hire a boat and go for a meal on an outlying island. The following Friday, Feb. 23rd will also be an evening meeting. This will be a joint gathering of all of the Friday clubs to celebrate World Understanding & Peace day. Please mark both of these evening meetings on your calendar.

THIS FRIDAY’S SPEAKER

This week we have Captain Brian Greeves of the International Federation of Air Line Pilots Associations. His talk is somewhat cryptically entitled “Pilot Dim Sum”, and I must confess that I don’t know what its about. However, Brian is a most likeable fellow, and has been a guest at our Club in the past. In fact, he had at one time been mentioned as a potential member.
